The 317 grade belongs to an austenitic grade of stainless steel. A Stainless Steel 317 grade is designed with a superior composition of iron, chromium, nickel, molybdenum, manganese, silicon, carbon, phosphorous, and sulfur. The outstanding content embedded in these modules gives them enhanced corrosion and oxidation resistance properties across stress-induced setups. The 317 Stainless Steel Properties allow the steel to showcase superior mechanical properties. The steel in this grade has a minimum tensile strength of 620mpa with a minimum yield strength of 275mpa, having an elastic modulus of 193gpa. The AISI 317 Material is designed with a density of 8 g/cm3 having a melting point of 1370 degrees C. The components have a thermal conductivity of 16.3 W/mk. The material cannot be hardened by heat treatment and is generally annealed at temperatures between 1010 to 1121 degrees C, followed by cooling them. Designed with a hardness of 85 Rockwell, the Grade 1.4449 Material has an elongation at a break of 45%. This material can be customized in different shapes and sizes to make it suitable for use in different project types and meet complete customer satisfaction.

Working temperatures of 1652 – 2102°F (900 – 1150°C) are recommended for hot working processes. Do not work this alloy below 1742°F (950°C). If the final forming temperature falls below this threshold, a solution anneal of 1976 – 2156°F (1080 – 1180°C) is necessary. Rapid quenching is required
