IS 3601 Pipe
IS 3601 is a grade that comes under the Bureau of Indian Standards for steel. The IS 3601 Pipe is designed with a chemical composition of phosphorus and sulfur. The versatile pipes can be used for both mechanical and general engineering purposes. IS 3601 Steel Tubes have good resistances and allow for the transmission of fluids and gases to take place at high pressures and extreme temperatures. The piping components in this grade are divided into three categories. The IS 3601 WT 310 Pipe is the strongest amongst the three grades. These pipes have a minimum tensile strength of 450mpa with a minimum yield strength of 310mpa. An IS 3601 WT 240 Pipe has good strength and is available in schedules of SCH 5 to SCH 160 and XXS. These pipes are available in lengths of 5mm up to 1219.2mm. IS 3601 WT 210 Pipes has the lowest strength but shows good welding properties. These pipes can be shaped in an array of shapes and sizes to meet different properties.
The piping components in the IS 3601 grade can be designed in an array of welding configurations. The IS 3601 WT 210 welded Pipe is produced by rolling the strips or sheets followed by welding the pipes in the correct place. The robust IS 3601 Black ERW Tube is made up of a protective coating and is produced by passing a high-voltage electric current in the system. IS 3601 GI Pipes is a component that has a coating of zinc that protects the pipes against damage from oxidative and corrosive media. The IS 3601 MS Pipes is easy to shape and use due to the lower carbon content embedded in these pipes.
