Alloy 625 is an austenitic grade of stainless steel. An Inconel 625 Tube is designed with a superior chemical concentration of chromium, nickel, and molybdenum. The outstanding composition gives these tubes enhanced corrosion and oxidation resistance properties. Alloy 625 Tube is designed to work in cryogenic as well as in high temperatures up to 1800 degrees F. These tubes are highly resistant to attacks in mild conditions, especially in marine or alkaline media. The presence of molybdenum in the AMS 5581 Tubing further helps make it resistant to pitting and crevice corrosion that is common in seawater systems. The Inconel Tube can be produced and processed in a range of cold and hot working processes. These tubes can be welded to subsequent piping grades and items, making use of standard welding procedures.
The Alloy 625 Pipe is a non-magnetic grade that shows enhanced strength and superior resistance to creep rupture across stress-induced systems. These pipes are designed with excellent mechanical and thermal properties. Having a yield strength of 430mpa, the Inconel Pipe exhibits a tensile strength of 940mpa. The pipes in this grade can be easily elongated by 51.5% at temperatures of 1065 degrees C. The non-pressure vessel ASTM B444 UNS N06625 grade has a thermal conductivity of 9.8 W/m-K while having a melting point between 1290 to 1350 degrees C. They generally have a hardness range between 32 to 40 HRC.
The Inconel 625 Seamless Pipe is the strongest grade of piping components in this grade. These versatile pipes are manufactured by passing hot steel billets through an extruded metal grade and shaping them. In the Inconel 625 Seamless Tubing, there is no presence of seams or welds on the cross-section of the grade. This gives its superior load-bearing capacity and strength. The special material required to produce this tubing makes the item very expensive. The price of the 625 alloy grades in Europe and the USA starts at $47.97; however, in India, the price starts at $42.64.
