EN 10084 is a European standard that covers materials for case hardened products. The EN 10084 pipe is designed with a chemical composition of carbon, silicon, manganese, phosphorous, sulfur, and chromium. The content embedded in these pipes gives them enhanced corrosion and oxidation resistance properties. DIN EN 10084 C15E Steel Tubes have a nominal carbon content of about 0.15% and showcase lower strength; however, quenching and tempering help in increasing the strength of these tubes. The EN 10084 Structure pipe grades are designed with superior load-carrying capacity. These structural grade pipes also have good wear resistance and showcase enhanced surface hardness. An EN 10084 Carbon Steel Seamless Pipe is produced as hot steel billets are passed through extruded metal to shape the pipes in the correct dimensions. These pipes have enhanced strength and superior load-bearing capacity, but require slightly more processing time compared to other pipes in this grade. The pipes in the EN 10084 grade can be processed in a hot or cold rolling process. A BS EN 10084 C16E Hot-rolled Pipe is processed at high temperatures in mills till it reaches its recrystallization value. Here the pipes can be easily worked along with their subsequent products. The 20MnCr5 UNI EN 10084 cold-rolled Pipe, on the contrary, is processed at room temperatures. These pipes showcase enhanced strength and resistance to corrosive media compared to hot rolled pipes.
