ASTM A572 Gr 50 Pipe
ASTM A572 Gr 50 is a workhorse of the steel industry. The ASTM A572 Grade 50 Pipe is designed with a chemical composition consisting of carbon, manganese, phosphorous, and silicon. This gives the ASTM A572 Grade 50 Hsla Pipe enhanced strength and load-bearing capacity. These pipes are designed with an outer diameter between 4mm up to 219mm and have a varying wall thickness of 0.5mm up to 20mm. The SA572 Material is designed with excellent mechanical properties. They have a minimum tensile strength of 450mpa with a minimum yield strength of 345mpa. The grades can be elongated by 18% in the system.
The A572 Pipe is produced in seamless, welded, erw, and efw configurations. Each of these types has its set of features that allow the components to function accordingly in the system. A572 Steel Pipe can be polished or surface finished with different processes. Depending on the requirements the pipes can have a plain, threaded or beveled end. The piping components in this grade can be designed in different cross-sectional areas. ASTM A572 Grade 50 Square Tube is designed in a square cross-sectional area. These square tubes are seen in use in a range of structural grade applications. The A572 Grade 50 Tube is designed in sizes between 6.35mm OD up to 152mm OD. These tubes have a special wall thickness of 0.020 up to 0.220. Carbon Steel ASME SA572 Gr 50 Tube is a grade of choice in boiler and pressure vessel grade for high-pressure and temperature applications. These tubes can be custom designed in a range of shapes and sizes to meet several product requirements. The ASTM A572 Grade 50 Tube produced in foreign countries are more expensive than those produced in India.
