ASTM A335 Grade P22 is a ferritic steel grade. The ASTM A335 P22 Pipe is a carbon grade designed with a superior chemical content of chromium and molybdenum with other alloying components. The versatile ASTM A335 P22 showcases enhanced strength and superior resistance against corrosive media. The module in this grade exhibit good wear and tear resistance properties. The SA335 P22 grade is suitable for high-temperature and pressure applications. These components are a common feature in boiler and pressure vessel grades. SA335 P22 material is designed with a minimum tensile strength of 415mpa and a minimum yield strength of 205mpa. Grade SA 335 Gr P22 can be readily elongated by 22% and possess impact energy of 35J. What is P22 Chrome Pipe?
The P22 is a seamless grade that is designed with 1.90% up to 2.60% of chromium with 0.87% to 1.13% of molybdenum. The A335 P22 chrome moly grade is produced with nominal wall thickness that is suitable for high temperature and pressure service. This A335 Gr P22 grade is well suited for a range of corrosive and oxidative media that are common in stress-induced environments. The chrome SA335 Gr P22 grade is suitable for forming, bending, fusion welding, and bending operations.
What is P22 Seamless Pipe?
A seamless pipe is a grade that is designed without any welds or seams. The P22 Seamless Pipe is a high-strength grade having excellent load-bearing capacity allowing it to be used in extreme pressures and temperatures. To produce a seamless pipe the alloy P22 is processed through an extrusion process where hot billets are passed through the pipe to shape it precisely. The hot-billets ensure that the P22 Alloy Steel shape is increased by 20 times, thereby ensuring it is shaped easily.
