ASTM A335 P1 grade is a seamless ferritic alloy steel grade. The ASTM A335 P1 pipe is designed with a superior chemical composition consisting of carbon, phosphorus, sulfur, silicon, chromium, and molybdenum. The outstanding content in the A335 P1 Pipe gives them enhanced resistance to corrosive and oxidative media across a range of stress-induced environments. The versatile SA335 P1 Boiler Pipe is designed to hold and process volatile fluids and gases. These pipes possess superior strength and support the grade during high pressures and temperatures. Designed with good mechanical properties, the SA 335 P1 Material has a minimum tensile strength of 415mpa with a minimum yield strength of 205mpa. They can be easily elongated by 30% in the system. This allows the versatile Alloy Steel P1 Pipe to be used in chemical, nuclear power plants, research purposes, oil and gas industry, and paper processing systems. The P1 Pipe is generally designed in schedules between SCH 20 up to SCH 160 and SCH XXS. These pipes have a plain, beveled or threaded end. The versatile grade of pipes produced in India are cheaper and have superior characteristics compared to the same pipes produced in the USA or Europe. This is because abundant raw materials and quality cheap labour is available in the country.

The piping components in the A335 p1 grade are generally designed in seamless configurations. A P1 Seamless Pipe is produced by passing hot steel billets through an extruded metal to precisely shape the grade. The versatile A335 P1 Smls Pipe has excellent strength and load-bearing capacity. The pipes also show enhanced tolerance to corrosive media and can be further processed through the hot or cold rolling process. A A335 Gr P1 Hot Rolled Pipes is processed at high temperatures till it reaches the recrystallization value of the pipe. This allows the subsequent products to be produced easily. The processing of an ASTM A335 Gr P1 Cold Drawn Pipes starts soon after the rolling stage. Here the strength and tolerance of the pipes are improved.
