The 446 alloy belongs to a ferritic stainless steel grade. A 446 Stainless Steel Pipe is produced with a chemical composition of iron, chromium, manganese, silicon, nickel carbon, phosphorous, and sulfur. The content allows these pipes to have enhanced corrosion and oxidation resistant properties. The Stainless Steel 446 Pipe is a high-strength component that has low alloys embedded in them. For the welding process to take place efficiently these pipes don’t require any filler material.
